Chris Ring


Chris Ring has been coaching at Arlington since the summer of 2006. Under his reign, the Tigers have been to the Sectional Championship 7 of the past 10 years, winning four with State Tournament appearances in 2008, with the schools first senior class, 2011, finishing 4th, 2012, winning Arlington High School's first State Championship and 2016, ending up as state runner-up. Prior to taking the head-coaching job he served as an assistant varsity coach at Bartlett for nine years.

The goal of the Tiger coaching staff is to develop each player both in the game of baseball as well as the game of life. He is very fortunate to have a very experienced coaching staff at both the varsity and junior varsity level.

Coach Ring prepped at Craigmont High School where he was a Best of the Preps Finalist his senior year. Following high school, he played at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. In his four years there he received several awards in offense and defense as well as an MVP his senior year.

Following graduation, he served as a graduate assistant coach for one year at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas and two years back at Union where he received his Master’s Degree in Physical Education.


Chris is happily married with one child. He has been married to Holley since 1997 and has been blessed with a wonderful daughter Anna Garris since 2003. They are active members at New Hope Christian church as well as part of a small group that meets once a week.
